General and sub-contractors are welcome to bid on HUD-funded rehabilitation projects. Learn about how you can participate.
How to Apply
To be included on the contractor list, you may submit a completed Contractor Qualification form directly to the Community Planning and Development Housing Program Office. Be sure to provide all requested information and copies of supporting documentation, thereby avoiding delays in the reviewing of your application. Once we receive the completed form and have an opportunity to review it, we will place your name on the list of contractors.
In the City of Olympia Housing Rehabilitation Program, the homeowner or investor-owner is given a bid form, along with a copy of a list of contractors. The applicant then calls the contractors of his/her choice and invites the contractor to visit the site and bid on the project. We require that the homeowner or investor-owner obtain at least two bids for cost comparison purposes. (The owner may ask for bids for an entire project, or for a specific portion.) The applicant chooses the contractor(s). The City provides a portion or all of the project funding.
Neither applicants nor contractors are allowed to discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, national origin, or sexual orientation, or the presence of any physical, mental, or sensory disability.
