Percival Creek Homidide Suspects

One in custody and one suspect wanted for Percival Creek Homicide

On October 19, 2017, Olympia Police Department Detectives, with the assistance of Thurston County SWAT team, arrested one of two suspects involved in a homicide. On September 22, Olympia Police had responded to a report of gunshots heard in the Percival Creek Canyon area and found one victim who had died of several gunshot wounds.

The ensuing investigation led Detectives to the arrest of Bart Wheaton, 26 years old, of Tumwater, WA.  He was taken into custody yesterday at a residence in Tumwater without incident. Wheaton was booked into the Thurston County ARC for the crimes of Rendering Criminal Assistance and Robbery 1st degree. Additional criminal charges are likely to follow.

The City of Olympia Police Department Detectives are currently looking for a second suspect in the homicide. That suspect is Scott McKasson, 38 yrs old, Hgt: 5’ 07”, Wgt: 155 lbs, Eyes: Blue.

Thurston County Superior Court has issued an Arrest Warrant for McKasson for the crime of Murder 1st yesterday. He is considered armed and dangerous and believed to have fled the area.
