Lanes Closed for Signal Cabinet Replacement
On Sunday, September 10, 2017 starting at 6 a.m., City of Olympia Traffic Operations crews will replace the traffic signal controller cabinet at the entrance to Pier 1 and Haagen Foods off Cooper Point Road.
Traffic lanes in all directions approaching the intersection will be reduced to 1 lane, with flaggers present. Drivers are advised that the signal will go dark for approximately 2 hours starting at 6 a.m. Once the new cabinet is installed, the signal will be put in a flash mode until the remaining hook ups can be completed, approximately 2-4 hours. Drivers are reminded to treat the flashing red light as 3-way stop and to use caution when traveling through the area.
