Lanes Closed for Signal Cabinet Replacement
On Sunday, August 20, 2017 starting at 6 a.m., the City of Olympia Traffic Operations crews will replace the traffic signal controller cabinet at the intersection of Cooper Point Rd. and Capital Mall Dr.
Traffic lanes in all directions approaching the intersection will be reduced to one lane, with flaggers present. Drivers are advised that the signal will go dark for approximately 2 hours starting at 6 a.m. Once the new cabinet is installed, the signal will be put in a flash mode until the remaining hook ups can be completed, approximately 2-4 hours. Drivers are reminded to treat the flashing red light as 4-way stop and to use caution when traveling through the area.
