Night Work on Martin Way - Updated

Martin Way Intersection Overlays Night Work
Starting Monday, August 7, 2017, the City’s contractor will grind and asphalt overlay the pavement on Martin Way at three intersections:  Lilly Road, Sleater-Kinney Road, and College Street (west side only). In order to reduce traffic impacts, this work will take place at night, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Schedule (weather dependent)

  • August 7, 8 & 9 - Grinding the existing pavement at all three intersections (night work)
  • August 9, 10 & 11 - Asphalt paving the Lilly Road, Sleater-Kinney Road and College Street intersections (night work)

Potential Impacts
During grinding and paving work, construction will affect traffic flow on Martin Way and access to some businesses in the area. Travel lanes will be restricted through the intersections and motorists should expect delays. Traffic control & flaggers will direct vehicles and pedestrians through the work areas.  Overall project construction should be complete by the end of August 2017.
