Annual Pavement Preservation Project Begins

Annual Road Resurfacing Work Begins Next Week

Starting Monday, July 17, the City’s Contractor will begin preparing portions of pavement on 14th Avenue, Walnut Road, and Harrison Avenue for chip sealing later this summer.  The pavement preparation work involves digging out and repairing bad sections of asphalt pavement.

The preparation work will follow the schedule below, although this schedule is weather dependent.  At least one lane of traffic will be open during the roadway preparation work. Travelers should expect lane restrictions and traffic delays. 

Traffic control and flaggers will be in place, so please use caution when traveling through the areas.

Monday, July 17 – Tuesday, July 18

  • 14th Avenue NW – from Kaiser Road to Cooper Pt Road
  • Walnut Road NW – from Cooper Point Road to Division Street
  • Harrison Avenue – from Division Street to West Bay Drive (upper roundabout)

Saturday, July 22

  • Walnut Road NW – from Cooper Point Rd to Division Street
  • Harrison Avenue – from Division Street to West Bay Drive (upper roundabout)
