National Night Out
National Night Out Against Crime is August 1st
On Tuesday, August 1st, neighborhoods throughout Olympia are invited to join communities nationwide for the annual “National Night Out Against Crime.”
National Night Out is designed to increase crime and drug abuse prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit, enhance police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals by showing that Olympia’s neighborhoods are organized and committed to doing what it takes to maintain a safe and secure community.
The Olympia Police Department encourages citizens to participate by holding neighborhood gatherings on August 1st as a part of the National Night Out event. Police personnel and volunteers will be paying visits to the registered participants with materials related to crime prevention. Neighborhoods can register using the form at olympiawa.gov/blockwatch or by contacting Amy Stull at email@example.com or 360.753.8049 by Friday, July 21st.
