Washington Center HVAC Upgrade
Beginning Monday, June 12, 2017 and continuing through mid-September, the City’s Contractor, Trane Building Services, will begin work on the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. They will be upgrading the heating and cooling system to address the comfort of staff working in the building as well as patrons.
A portion of the cooling system failed last summer in this City owned building. We stepped in to install a temporary fix. The work planned for this summer will result in a fully operational system that can easily be operated, for efficiency.
While most of the work will occur within the building, there will be more activity at the Center. We expect only periodic impacts to Washington Street, when materials and equipment are brought to the site. There will not be any long term street or parking closures.
