Celebration of Maritime History

Maritime History to be Celebrated on Percival Landing, June 4, 2-4 p.m.

Please join members of the South Sound Maritime Heritage Association, and Olympia Parks, Arts & Recreation to celebrate the installation of an interpretive window display and brass marker commemorating Captain George Vancouver and 2nd Lieutenant Peter Puget’s visit here while searching for the fabled “Northwest Passage” in 1792. A second interpretive panel addresses the cruiser USS Olympia, which became famous as the flagship for Commodore George Dewey.

The celebration takes place Monday, June 4, 2-4 p.m. at Harbor House on Percival Landing, 325 Columbia St NW.
