Community Forum on Public Safety Levy Implementation
Olympia Police Department to Hold Public Meeting on Implementation of Public Safety Levy Funds
The Olympia Police Department is holding a public meeting on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Olympia High School in the Performing Arts Center and Commons.
You are invited to come and learn about the work the Olympia Police Department is doing in and with the community as a result of the Public Safety Levy. Participate in breakout sessions where your feedback about our Walking Patrol, Neighborhood Liaisons, and Crisis Response Team programs is a valued part of determining our next steps!
The purpose of this meeting is to provide community members with information about the Olympia Police Department’s current structure and programs, how the structure and programs will change as a result of Public Safety Levy funds, and seek input on how we can best serve the community with new programs as we build them over the coming year. To do this, we will have an introductory presentation followed by 3 breakout sessions. There will also be informational booths with representatives from Community Court, the OPD Hiring and Training program, Code Enforcement, the Downtown Ambassador and Clean Team program, and Economic Development.
We hope you can join us. Community input will help us shape existing programs and guide us as we develop new programs to better serve you. Please plan to attend the entire event, as groups will rotate through each breakout session. If you have questions or would like additional information please contact Lt. Sam Costello at 360.753.8066 or email@example.com.
