Taylor Wetland Stewardship Event

Want to become a watershed steward?

Join friends and neighbors in removing invasive plants at Taylor Wetland on Saturday, February 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Your efforts will improve the function and wildlife habitat at one of Olympia’s largest urban wetlands. No experience necessary. Snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided. Come dressed for the weather and wear sturdy shoes!

What is Taylor Wetland?

Taylor Wetland looks like a park or open space, but it is actually a site specifically designed to reduce flooding, improve water quality, and provide habitat for wildlife. Plus, it’s a great place to hang out and enjoy nature.

How do I join?

Pre-register or just show up! We will be meeting in the Northeast corner of the Olympia Home Depot parking lot (1325 Fones Rd SE). Please arrive on time so that we can walk to the location as a group. To register and for more information about other volunteer opportunities, go to www.streamteam.info.
