Restoration Work Party at West Bay Woods Heronry

Join the City of Olympia and the Olympia Coalition for Ecosystem Preservation in restoring a diverse, intact, beautiful forest right in the heart of Olympia! The West Bay Woods provide vital nesting habitat for the Pacific Great Blue Heron, filtration of storm water runoff heading into the Sound, and valuable green space for both people and wildlife. We will be removing ivy, building hiking trails, and installing native plants. This is the last work party before the heron breeding season begins! Come for a fun, family-friendly day in the forest! Tools, gloves, and refreshments provided!  Please wear sturdy shoes or boots.
