Garbage, Recycling & Organics
Olympia’s approach to waste management includes providing curbside garbage, recycling and organics. We also strive to encourage waste reduction through educational programs.
Working toward Zero Waste:
In June 2006, the Olympia City Council adopted a Zero Waste Resolution. It establishes a vision for the City and a new direction for the utility. On November 26, 2007, Council adopted the Zero Waste Plan.
