Volunteers In Parks

The Volunteer In Parks Program offers volunteer work parties on most Saturdays, RSVP or just show up - everyone is welcome! Tools, gloves and some refreshments are provided. Please contact Todd Smith at 360.753.8365 or by email at tsmith@ci.olympia.wa.us for more information.

Upcoming Work Parties:

Ongoing - Yashiro Japanese Garden

March 20 - Priest Point Park, 10am-1pm

Join us as we help restore the forest of this beautiful park by removing ivy from trees.  Meet at Shelter #2 on the west side of Priest Point Park (2600 East Bay Drive, Olympia).

April 3 - Evergreen Park, 10am-1pm

Join us at this new neighborhood park as we remove brush and invasive species.  Meet at Evergreen Park (1445 Evergreen Park Dr. SW, Olympia).

April 10 - Watershed Park, 10am-1pm

Come out and help clear vegetation from the trail and identify areas of trail that need work. Meet at Henderson Blvd. trailhead of Watershed Park (2500 Henderson Blvd. SE, Olympia). 

May 1 - LBA Park, 10am-1pm

Join us as we get the park looking great for baseball and softball season.  We'll be mulching tree circles and weeding.  Meet at LBA Park (3333 Morse-Merryman Road SE, Olympia). 

Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get wet and muddy. Youth under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult and all youth under 18 years must have a signed Waiver and Medical Alert and have a parents' signature on the sign- in roster at the project work site.
