Saturday Drop-Off Site
Reduce your trash, conserve natural resources, and save landfill space by bringing your yard waste and scrap metal to us. The cost depends on the type of material and the size of the load.
Drop-off Site Hours and Location:
The drop-off site is located at 1401 Eastside Street, SE, Olympia.
- The site will be open from March 7 through November 21, 2009.
- Hours are Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Customers are required to unload their own vehicles.
- Remember to bring gloves and a broom if you want to sweep your truck.

The drop-off site now accepts non-appliance / clean scrap metal.

Drop-off site closed or Need Another Option?
The following options are available to you when the drop-off site is closed:
- You may take your material to the yard debris site at the Thurston County Waste & Recovery Center, located at 2418 Hogum Bay Road, Lacey. Call 360.786.5494 for more information.
- Olympia garbage customers can get year-round curbside organics service for regular, ongoing needs.
- Households and businesses can request a temporary drop box or dumpster (containers) for larger quantities of yard debris by calling 360.753.8368, and selecting option 2. Fees depend on the size of container and the number of times we empty it. Temporary containers require a 2-day delivery notice.
- You can compost it at home.
