Reduce your trash, conserve natural resources, and save landfill space by bringing your yard waste, scrap metal and extra recycling to the Saturday Drop-Off Site. 

Open for the Season

The Saturday Drop-off Site is open from March 3 - November 17, 2012. The site is limited to Olympia garbage customers.

• Hours - Open every Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., including holiday weekends.
• Location - The site is located at 1401 Eastside Street, SE, in Olympia (directions to the Maintenance Center facility).
• Rates and Fees - Cost depends on the type of material and the size of the load. Find out how rates and fees are determined, and how to calculate your rate. Remember to bring cash or check for payment. 
• What We Accept - We accept yard debris, scrap metal and extra recycling at the drop-off site. Learn more about what we can and cannot accept at the site.

The following options are available to you when the drop-off site is closed:

Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center

You may take your material to the yard debris site at the Thurston County Waste & Recovery Center, located at 2418 Hogum Bay Road, Lacey. Call 360.786.5494 for more information.

Request A Temporary Container

Households and businesses can request a temporary drop box or dumpster (containers) for larger quantities of yard debris by calling 360.753.8368, and selecting option 2. Fees depend on the size of container and the number of times we empty it. Remember, temporary containers require a 2-day delivery notice.
