The City of Olympia provides commercial garbage dumpster service for businesses and multi-family complexes. Dumpsters are large containers that range in size from 1- to 6-cubic-yard capacity.

How Often Can I Get My Dumpster Emptied? The number of times we empty your dumpster each week depends on the amount of garbage you produce. Our minimum and most popular service level is once-a-week pick-up. More frequent pick-ups can be arranged for an additional fee.

What if I Overfill My Dumpster?

When your dumpster is overfull, it can be a hazard for our drivers and make quite a mess when they lift it overhead to empty it. A fee of $7.00 could be assessed to your bill for each extra bag or box of garbage. Remember that keeping the contents below the rim and the lid closed helps:

What Are the Rates?

Dumpster rates vary with the size and number of weekly pick-ups. Please note, all rates listed are based on a single dumpster.

How Can I Save Money?

You can save money on your garbage bill by making sure you have the right size dumpster, eliminating the need for extra pick-ups. How do you know if you have the right size? Here are some questions to ask yourself.

Are you frequently calling for extra pick ups or setting out extra bags? Your dumpster is too small. Consider a larger size or look at your pick-up schedule.

Is your dumpster half empty when it's dumped? Your dumpster is too large. You are paying for unused capacity.

Are you putting recyclable items in your dumpster? If the answer is yes, consider recycling. Not only is it good for the environment, it saves you money. Call Pacific Disposal to sign up for service at 360.923.0111.

How Can I Reduce Waste?

• Monitor your trash on a regular basis and make sure you are recycling everything you can.
• Encourage suppliers to send less packaging, or use recyclable packaging instead.
• Donate reusable goods to a worthy cause.

About Our Trucks:

What is a Front-Load Truck? Front-loading trucks pick up dumpsters at the front of the truck and lift them overhead to empty the contents. In most cases, the driver or operator stays in the cab, and the truck does the heavy lifting.

What is a Rear-Load Truck?

Rear-loading trucks pick up dumpsters at the back of the truck. These trucks are only used in the downtown core where front-load trucks will not fit, such as in narrow alleys. This system requires two operators.
