An important part of Olympia's Groundwater Protection Program is to inventory sites and activities that are, or could become, a threat to our water supply.

Once threats are identified, strategies are developed to eliminate or minimize the risk to groundwater. You can get information on the City of Olympia's strategies to eliminate these risks by publicworks@ci.olympia.wa.us.

Learn more about the potential threats to groundwater; download our printer-friendly table, "Risks To Groundwater". The threats are ranked by level of risk and broken out by DWPA. Maps for each DWPA are provided below; currently, the maps show just a few categories of potential contaminants, not all that are listed in the table.
