Chief's Message

It is with great pride and pleasure that I welcome you to the Olympia Police Department. We are proud to serve the capital city of Washington and all who visit here. We are a professional contemporary police department focused on delivering law enforcement services to a diverse population. Our staff is committed to providing timely and effective police response with the goal of community safety in mind. We operate as one team working closely with our residents to proactively address crime, prevent victimization and reduce the fear of crime.

Here at the Olympia Police Department we believe we can only be effective by working closely with our law enforcement partners in the region and our community partners to identify and address crime issues. We recognize we can make mistakes but will work hard to correct them.

We have provided you a variety of resources and I hope you find them useful. From crime mapping to crime reporting and prevention services, the services reflect our commitment to making Olympia a safe and vibrant community.
