The Current Planning section ensures that land use conforms to the City's land use regulations. Land use review is part of the development review process. Professional Urban Planners review applications for land use changes including:

  • Subdivisions
  • Variances

The Long-Range Planning section helps shape the future of land use in the City. Urban Planners in this section prepare amendments to the City's Comprehensive Plan, support the City's compliance with state and federal regulations, and provide professional assistance to the Planning Commission.
