Park History:

Sunrise Park was designed in conjunction with neighbors of the park and the Westside Neighborhood Association in 1991-1992. The park was opened and dedicated in 1995.  In 2007, the City partnered with Garden Raised Bounty (GRuB) to create a community garden at the site.  The park features a grassy hillside that provides great views and makes for a popular sledding hill during Olympia’s occasional snowy winter day.  

A portion of this park has been designated as an off-leash dog area. Construction will begin this summer, 2010.  More inforrmation.
