Lion's Park Community Meeting

We invite you to come learn about a sprayground (water-play feature) design planned for this park as well as access and safety improvements which include pathways, lighting and parking. This project will be submitted for a state matching grant this year. We’d like to hear your input regarding the design and other improvements.

Park History:

In 1946 the Olympia Lions Service Club and Eastside Neighborhood Association joined hands to show their community pride. This strong alliance of neighborhood and City interests has continued through the years. Today the park is well used by residents of the Eastside Neighborhood and other residents of the City.

Park Improvements:

In 2010, a new playground was constructed at the park.  Additional improvements were completed in 2012 which include a new picnic shelter, new roof over the existing restroom building, accessible parking space, new light poles and a paved accessible trail around the playground.

Find the Lions Game

There are 11 lions hidden throughout the park, varying in size and shape.  Look high and low to see if you can find them all. (Hint:  The lions on the sign are not part of the 11.)  Answer Key
