Friendly Grove Park

Playground is Currently Closed

Friendly Grove is getting a new playground!  The design was voted on last year and is now being installed.

Park Impacts

The playground area and some parking spaces will be fenced off and closed July 1 - August 14. The remainder of the park will remain open during construction.  Please use the designated overflow parking area and do not park along Friendly Grove Road.  Use caution around the construction site. The contractor will be using equipment in the parking lot and along the main pathway to access the playground.

Park History

This parcel was purchased in 1997, and developed as a neighborhood park in 2002. The City received a matching grant for park acquisition and development from the Washington Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation.

Please note that the parking lot at this popular park often fills to capacity during peak times.  There is designated overflow parking at Peace Lutheran Brethren Church just south of the park. Overflow parking is not available on Sunday mornings.
