Artspace
The national non-profit organization Artspace made a pre-feasibility visit to Olympia on September 16 & 17, 2009. The mission of Artspace is to create, foster and preserve affordable space for artist and arts organizations. The purpose of the visit was to assess whether Olympia is a good match for a future Artspace project. During the course of their visit, Artspace representatives:
- Toured existing studio spaces and downtown properties;
- Met with artists, cultural, educational, financial and civic leaders in our community, and;
- Held a community meeting.
A report of their findings is expected within 3-4 weeks.
