Station Details
Fire Station 4 opened on June 14, 2011 and is the second busiest unit in the city. It is just over 12,000 square feet and houses a 3 person fire company and two person medic unit. Station 4 serves the entire City, not just the 25% of Olympia’s 45,000 citizens who live in the station’s response area.
LEED Gold
Station 4 has been awarded a LEED GOLD certification. LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is a program administered by the United States Green Building Council. Projects are rated against a strict standard before being granted a certification. LEED addresses all building types and emphasizes state-of-the- art strategies in five areas: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials and resources selection, and indoor environmental quality. Gold is the second highest certification granted.
