Come play outside! The Summer Kids in Parks Program (SKIPP) is a free playground drop-in program for children ages 6-12. Come to this supervised program where participants enjoy field games, arts & crafts and the occasional field trip. Snack will be served at 3pm.

Summer Lunch Program

Never play hungry! In Olympia, everyone 18 and under can enjoy a FREE lunch every weekday this summer! The Summer Lunch Program is a free nutrition program sponsored by Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation, provided by OSPI and the USDA. No registration necessary. Lunch will be served:

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at:, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. If you are 13 years old or older and wish to volunteer in SKIPP, complete this Parks Volunteer Form and Waiver, submit on site or at the Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St NW, Olympia, WA 98501.

All volunteer applicants are required to pass a Washington State Patrol background check.
