Arts Walk Covers 1

Arts Walk Cover Art

Arts Walk coversSince the year 2000, the City of Olympia has celebrated its twice yearly Arts Walk festival with the commission of new artwork for the cover of the event map each spring and fall.

The cover art search is a juried process facilitated by the Olympia Arts Commission, and artists who apply must have participated in the event within the two previous years. 12,000 maps are printed for the spring event, and 10,000 for the fall.

The original artwork becomes part of the City’s public art collection and enlivens the public spaces and rentable rooms at The Olympia Center, for the benefit of the community.
