Live Fire Training - Saturday March 13, 2010

The Olympia Fire Department will be conducting Live Fire Training on Saturday March 13th between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm at 3334 18th Ave SE, Northeast corner of 18th Ave & Ontario St. A public viewing area will be set up for the public to observe firefighters in action. It will be inside a secured area across Ontario Street from the house.

Fire Station O4 Update 

The Olympia Fire Department is in the progress of building a new Fire Station and a new Training Center.  Bid documents for Station O4 went out on February 24, 2010. The above photograph is of the pre-bid conference held on March 3, 2010. About 30 people showed up (it is not mandatory) to ask questions about the project and see the location. We are expecting to have a good number of bids to open on March 25, 2010. Expect to see the winning bidder working on the site by the end of April 2010.
