Dani Madrone was elected to a four year term at position #3 in November 2019.
Dani has lived in the area since 2004, and now lives in the Northwest neighborhood with her daughter. She has a career in Puget Sound recovery with the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission. She previously worked as a planner at the Squaxin Island Tribe and for several local organizations on issues of the environment, housing, climate change, transportation, and food systems.
Dani has a Bachelor of Science and Arts from the Evergreen State College, where she focused on chemistry and sustainability as a National Science Foundation Scholar. She also earned a Master of Public Administration from Evergreen with a focus in public policy and local government.
In her leisure time, you can find Dani paddling around Puget Sound, exploring alpine areas, running around Olympia, or deep in a science fiction or fantasy novel.
