Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) is to make recommendations to the City Council regarding plans, policies, programs and projects relating to recreational parks planning activities.

The Parks & Recreation Committee is an advisory board, appointed by the Olympia City Council. Members serve a three-year term.

How to Participate:

At least 50% of PRAC members must reside in the City of Olympia or the City's urban growth area.

The Olympia City Council accepts committee applications annually, usually in January and February.  Successful applicants will be interviewed by the City Council, General Government Committee. Based on committee recommendation, the City Council makes all final appointments.
