Health & Human Services Council

Purpose

The People's HouseThe Health and Human Services Council (HHSC) recommends annual funding for social services in Thurston County.

The HHSC was formed by interjurisdictional agreement between Thurston County and the cities of Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater. It is coordinated by the Thurston County Health Department.

HHSC members make a regional recommendation to the jurisdictions about how to use the money. The final decision is made by each of the City Councils and the County Commissioners.

Meeting Information

The HHSC meets on the 2nd Monday of the month, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Thurston County Courthouse, Building 1, 2000 Lakeridge Dr SW.

There are four members serving on the HHSC – elected officials from all four participating jurisdictions. Olympia’s current representative is:
